We re-homed Squiggle last year as we already had a lovely boy called Blinks (Up To Speed) and felt he needed a friend. When we saw Squiggle it was love at first sight for Blinks. There was no doubt that Squiggle was the one for him, they have been living together now for just over a year. I also homed another greyhound called Smurf (Blue Smurf) after she had an injury to her leg just before Christmas. They all live very happily together and get lots of love.
I must say that I was very apprehensive about adopting a greyhound at first, as I am a childminder and greyhounds are quite big, but my worries were unfounded, the children love them and they love the children. I take the dogs everywhere with me and we walk to the local schools where all the children come out and give them big hugs.
I have attached some pictures of Squiggle in the paddling pool, and as you can see there is no chance of sitting on the sofa at our house. I even had to buy the other half a recliner chair so he could sit down after work. Unfortunately Smurf has sussed out that she can fit on this as well!
